	Vince Caserto Marlboro, NY Vince competed in fast pitch softball from 1971 until 1984, playing with the Poughkeepsie Brewers, Raybesto's Cardinals and the Franklin Cardinals of West Haven, CT. Four of the eight years he played Cardinals, he led them in hitting. Calling fast pitch softball the "greatest team sport that I ever played," Vince was a pitcher's nightmare. He smashed 170 home runs and drove in 583 runs during that period to go along with his .329 lifetime batting average. Vince participated in 12 Regional and 11 National Tournaments. In 1972, Vince won the Batting Championship in the National Tournament with a .444 average and was named to the First Team All American Tournament Team. In 1976, he repeated as a First Team All American, as he led the Raybesto's Cardinals to the National Championship. He was chosen as an alternate to the USA Pan American Team in 1979 & 1983. Vince was an outstanding baseball pitcher in high school before switching to the softball diamond. Caserto said that his biggest thrills in softball were winning the National Title for the first time, making All American for the first time, and winning the National Batting Championship.
