John Dumah
Rochester, NY

  • John started his career as a pitcher on June 8, 1960, in spectacular fashion . . . losing 9-0 in his first game. He finished the 1960 season with a 0-4 record. In 1961, he improved by going 1-3.

  • In 1962, John started on his way to become a dominant pitcher, finishing with a 10-2 record.

  • In 1965, John compiled a record of 30 wins, against 5 losses. this began a string of 24 consecutive seasons in which he won 30 or more games.

  • From 1972 thru 1982, John won 40 or more games each year.

  • In 1974, 1976, 1979, and 1980, John won 50 or more games each season.

  • Through 1980, John compiled a record of 1053 wins, against 233 losses for a career record of 82%.

  • He has pitched a total of 77 no-hitters, with 24 perfect games.

  • John has won 63 Invitation Tournaments: 1ASA State "A" Fast Pitch Tourney; 4 ASA State Major Fast Pitch Tourneys; and 2 ASA Regional Titles (1979 & 1980).

  • He has appeared in 5 ASA National Tournaments (4 Major and 1 "A") in 1979, 1980, 1987, 1988, and 1989.
