	Jose Lopez Mohawk, NY Jose started his umpiring career in 1984 as a member of the Utica ASA Umpires Association. In 1986 he officiated in his first major tournament, working the Air National Guard Tournament where he learned what competition as really like. He has worked many State and Invitational Tournaments. When he met Gary Williams he was taught what it really is to be an true ASA umpire and his career flourished both as a person and a umpire. Some of his accomplishments include attending 3 National Umpire Schools. He has worked many State, Regional & Invitational Tournaments. Jose has worked 6 National Tournaments. One which was the largest Slow Pitch Tourney in ASA history. It included 142 teams and Jose’ was honored to officiate in the Championship game. He was selected to the NYS Umpire Indicator Fraternity in 2006 and the ASA National Indicator Fraternity in 2005. He was District 3 Umpire of the Year in 2005. Jose was elected Vice President of the NYS Commissioners Council in 2005 and is also a member of the Hall of Fame Committee.
