Hazelton "Moe" Kerr
Hewburgh, NY
Moe played on some of the best teams in the Hudson Valley, from 1948-1972.
He played in Poughkeepsie, Middletown, and Beacon in what was considered the Golden Age of Softball.
Moe won an average of 80 games a year against top competition in Major Fast Pitch softball.
He was one of the top pitchers in the Hudson Valley and was a power pitcher with a blazing fast ball.
Moe averaged more than a strikeout an inning throughout his career.
He pitched 10 no-hitters and a perfect game against Local 1000 in the Major Fast Pitch League in Poughkeepsie.
Moe was also a strong hitter with a lifetime batting average of over .300.
He was selected to the Newburgh Fast Pitch Hall of Fame.
In 1992, Moe was selected to the Dutchess County Fast Pitch Softball Hall of Fame.
