	Richard McNear Clifton Springs, NY Starting off with just 2 teams, through hard work there are now teams all throughout the Finger Lakes Region. Rich organized the first ASA Junior Olympic Travel Team in the Finger Lakes Region. Under his direction the "Lakers" name would grow to include teams in the 12U, 14U, 16U & 18U age brackets. Rich had hosted 2 ASA Invitational Tournaments each summer since 1992. He has also hosted an 18U State Championship & two 23U Championships. He has worked closely over the years with many ASA umpires using the Midlakes Tournaments for development & training of scores of umpires. Under his supervision work was done to overhaul local fields to make them premier ASA softball fields. In 1997 lights were added to one of the school fields which helped the ASA summer program to play night games. Dick hosts some of the premier fast pitch tournaments in New York State, working with the local ASA Umpires Association to provide the best umpires in the area.
