 Harold "Ozzie" McSweeney · Ozzie’s career covers 5 decades of softball, starting in the early 50’s. Today, at the age of 56, Ozzie is very active conducting pitching clinics in the Junior Olympic Program during the winter and coaching a girl’s softball team in the summer. · Some of the teams Ozzie has played for are: Poughkeepsie Brahaus, Oriskany Wreckers, Valley Merchants, San Carlos of Rome, Old Spain, South Side Restaurant and many others. · Teammates of Ozzie’s included: Bill Stewart (All World Player and National Hall of Famer), Vince Caserto, Tom Chiavelli, Joe Molinaro, and Butch Veronesi (all New York State Hall of Famers). · From 1963-1974 Ozzie pitched for the famed Oriskany Wreckers. During that time he pitched in 331 games, winning 298 and losing only 33 times. · In 1964, the wreckers were runners-up in the New York State Open Fast Pitch Tournament. They played in the regional tournament but because of a family emergency, Ozzie missed the opportunity to play in the National Tournament..
