Joseph Milinaro
Poughkeepsie, NY

  • Joe was a charter member of the Poughkeepsie Brewers in a career that spans over 20 years.

  • He was an exceptional center fielder, possessing one of the strongest and most accurate arms in softball. Joe was one of the most consistent clutch hitters and RBI leaders of the team.

  • Joe played on eight local/city league championship teams and 21 championship teams in 37 State/Regional and National Tournaments.

  • He played twelve years in the nationally recognized Atlantic Seaboard League with a lifetime batting average of .359.

  • In 1970, Joe won the Atlantic Seaboard League batting title with a .375 average, that included leading efforts in game winning hits, doubles, and RBIs.

  • Joe was selected to the All American Team in the 1970 Nationals, held in Clearwater, Florida; leading the team to a third place finish. He again was selected to the All Star Team in the 1972 Nationals; leading the tournament with a record twelve (12) RBIs.

  • Joe is a member of the Dutchess County Fast Pitch Hall of Fame.

  • He is named by the New York State Commissioner Joe Costine, as the best all around softball player in New York State.

  • Joe's achievements go beyond softball as he has received many honors. In his high school career, Joe was named All Dutchess county in the sports of baseball, basketball, and football. He was twice named Dutchess County baseball player of the year, and was voted one of the top ten basketball players in New York State in his senior year.
