William Plummer III

· Bill was the Editor of the first softball newspaper in Central New York, called Salt City Softball.

· He served as NYS Deputy Commissioner and Publicity Director from 1971 – 1979.

· He originated and was Editor of the New York State ASA Softball Newspaper.

· He also designed the Official Logo for New York State.

· Bill held the first ever Softball Day in Syracuse and along with former National UIC, Tom Mason, held softball clinics for that event.

· Bill held many Youth Clinics in the Syracuse Area promoting softball.

· He also hosted and ran numerous State Fast & Slow Pitch Tournaments.

· In 1979 Bill joined the ASA National Office in Oklahoma City.

· Bill also was the Editor of the Balls & Strikes Newspaper.

· A true supporter of New York State Bill has written many articles for Balls & Strikes about New York State and its events.

· He presently is the Manager of the National Softball Hall of Fame.

· He also gives his untiring efforts on the ASA National Convention.

· In addition to all of the above, Bill still finds time to officiate in excess 300 softball games a year.
