	Richard Passante Highland, NY As a player, coach and manager in a career that spanned over 20 years, Rich led any team that he was associated with by example. When coaching, he was a student of the game and taught his fundamental skill as well as displaying top notch sportsmanship. His credentials include winning the NYS Open Division Championship in 1986, finishing 2nd five times and 3rd once. He was a Player-Manager in 7 Mid Atlantic Regional Tournaments. The Merchants, a true amateur team never paid a pitcher during his whole career. He has been Vice President of both the Highland from 1977-1995, and Poughkeepsie Fast Pitch Leagues from 1977 – 1991, and has served on the Dutchess County Fast Pitch Hall of Fame for over 14 years. Rich is also the all-time leader in Highland Fast Pitch League in games played, runs scored, hits, wins & championships. He was the player manager of the Highland Merchants in the Poughkeepsie League which won 9 league titles in 14 years.
