	Harry Sanford Albany, NY Harry played ball in the service from 1943-1945. Upon his discharge Harry moved to Albany, NY and started a softball managing career. Harry has been an ASA Commissioner in the Capital District for over 15 years. In 1959 Harry started his own softball league with no place to play. With a promise for lights Harry found an empty lot which required major fill and grading. With the help of various volunteers, as in Field of Dreams, Harry turned a vacant lot into a fine softball field with bleachers and a snack bar. Harry retired as the field manager for the Charles Young Softball Field in Albany, NY 1996. Harry coached many teams, including the Sparkettes Team to the NYS Championship. As District Commissioner, Harry has sent many teams to the State, Regional, and National Tournaments in ASA. In addition, Harry has conducted many State and Regional ASA Tournaments. In 1997, Harry was honored at a testimonial ceremony by the Quarterback Club of Albany, for his devotion to sports in general. Harry is a Lifetime Member of the ASA.
