Vincent Savona
Oswego, NY

  • Vince played from 1960-1980 with many of the top teams in the area.

  • He was rated one of the best offensive, as well as defensive players to come out of the Oswego area.

  • A career lifetime .300 hitter, Vince was a shortstop on many tournaments teams, such as Black Label, Mimi's and Mr. M's.

  • He was named the Most Valuable Player in the Cortland Umpires Tournament in 1977.

  • Teams that Vince played on won the State Tournament in 1975, 1976, and 1977.

  • In the 1976 Tournament, Vince batted .454.

  • In 1972 Vince's team finished third place in the Eastern Seaboard Class "A" Regional tournament.

  • He also played in the ASA National Tournament in 1975 and 1976.

  • Vince once hit two home runs off the King and his Court team, getting two of only four hits allowed by the King.

  • In 1988, Vince was selected to the Oswego Hall of Fame as a Charter Member.
