George Snyder Syracuse, N.Y.

· George started playing ball in 1942 with the Southwest merchants and is still active today.

· From 1943 – 1945 George played Army baseball with many New York State ball players.

· He played for the Easy Washer Team, which won 3 NYS fast Pitch Titles in 6 years, in addition to several city and industrial league championships.

· In 1984 George started playing Senior Softball with the Syracuse Senior Cyclones.

· In the early 1990’s George played with a Michigan Team, which won the State Championship and placed 4th in the Senior World Series.

· George has competed all over the Country, plus Hawaii and Canada.

· In 1989 the Syracuse Cyclones traveled to England to promote Senior Softball with the New York Team going 8-0 in the Tournament.

· In 1989 the Syracuse team played in the Senior Olympics, placing 2nd in the Tournament, held in Saint Louis, MO.

· In 1991 the Cyclones won the Senior Olympics held in Syracuse, New York.

· In his senior career George has won over 21 medals and has played in all 11 Senior Softball World Series.

At the age of 75, George was recruited to join a 75 and older team from Palm Springs, CA. They won the 1998 International World Senior Tournament held in Manassas, VA. The team is always rated in the top two or three in the Country.
