	Bruce Wittman Middletown, NY Bruce became an ASA registered umpire in 1986. Since then he has worked numerous NYS ASA State, Regional & National Qualifier Tournaments. He has officiated in 6 ASA National Tournaments. He has also worked the Empire State Games for 20 years. In 2009 Bruce was chosen the ESG softball umpire coordinator. Twice he has worked as an ASA National umpire School Clinician Assistant. He is a member of the NYS Umpire Council and is an ASA Deputy UIC. Bruce serves as the District 4 Rules Clinician. He is a charter member of the NYS Indictor Fraternity. He is also a member of the ASA National Indictor Fraternity. Bruce is a member of the ASA National Medals Program at the Blue, Bronze, Silver and Gold levels. He was the first NYS Umpire to achieve Elite Status in two categories; Fast Pitch & Modified Pitch. Bruce has also umpired many of the United States Military Academy Division 1 softball games. Bruce is approachable, firm, polite and always has a sense of humor with is vital for an umpire.
